2022 Q3 China MMA output decreased by 15.85% year-on-year

[Introduction] According to data monitoring, the domestic MMA output may be less than 850,000 tons in the first three quarters of 2022, an increase of 1.66%year -on -year, and the average monthly output is above 90,000 tons, which is lower than the expected level. Among them, the Q3 decline is the most obvious, or a year -on -year decrease of 15.85%.

It is not difficult to see from the above figure that the output of Q3mMA from 2019-2021 is mostly growth trends. In the same period of 2022, the data declined in the same period, mainly due to the routine maintenance of some factories, the high operating rate of the high C4 process cost decreased significantly, the weather thermal production limit, and the sudden failure of some devices. As a result, the domestic MMA from July to September continued to be below 50 %.

East China Q3 output accounted for 49.6% increased by 13.88% year -on -year

In the third quarter, the output of various regions accounted for, such as the above figure, of which the output of East China and Shandong Province accounted for 49.6%and 21.8%, respectively, and the cumulative proportion reached 71.4%. Mainly in recent years, new production capacity has been more concentrated, such as the first half of the year of Jiangsu Stur (Phase III), Lihua Yi Yi Refining, Zhejiang Petrochemical (Phase II), Jiangsu Jiankun and other devices. The new production capacity is mainly distributed in East China And Shandong Province.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, multiple sets of new devices are about to be put into production, and the output will still have room for growth. The Q4 output may increase compared to Q3. But throughout the year, the increase in domestic MMA production is very limited, far lower than expected.
