In September 2022, China’s maleic anhydride exports were at 11,293. 42 tonnes, up 30% YoY. The largest export volume was to India, at 3,320 tonnes, with zero exports to India in August. Cumulative exports from January to September 2022 were at 140,193.95 tonnes, up 40% YoY.
From September’s maleic anhydride export data: exports increased again to exceed ten thousand tonnes, compared with August’s trade volume, a total increase of 2582.43 tonnes. September’s maleic anhydride export trade volume accounted for 12.70% of September’s production, foreign trade accounted for 2.15% more than in August.
In terms of specific trade volume, the top four purchasing countries in September were India, Turkey, Brazil, and UAE, exporting 3,320 tonnes, 2,063.78 tonnes, 1,255 tonnes, and 786 tonnes respectively, with trade volume accounting for 29%, 18%, 11%, and 7% of the total trade volume in September, with the top four countries accounting for 65.74 of the total trade volume in September. The number of trading partners increased by four, but trading partners are still relatively fragmented.
From the perspective of trade regions: Europe decreased significantly in September, and the overall trade flow was mainly concentrated in the Middle East, South America and Africa.
From the perspective of specific trade volumes: the top three countries in terms of trade volume all saw an increase, with the exception of India, which regained its position as the top trading country, and the rest, Turkey, which increased by 985 tonnes in September. In September, Brazil increased by 323 tons, an increase of 34 66%; decrease in the volume of countries, the United Arab Emirates than in August, a decrease of 372 tons, a decrease of 32. 12%. Italy decreased by 595 tons, a decrease of 74.76%, the rest of the European regional countries trade volume also decreased.
