In the first three quarters of 2024, China imported about 656 tons of maleic anhydride, a year-on-year decrease of -15%; in the first three quarters of 2024, China exported about 153,612 tons of maleic anhydride, a year-on-year increase of +34%.
Among them, China imported about 211 tons of maleic anhydride in the first quarter of 2024, a year-on-year decrease of -12%. In the first quarter of 2024, China exported about 51,199 tons of maleic anhydride, a year-on-year increase of +17%.
In the second quarter of 2024, China imported about 232 tons of maleic anhydride, a year-on-year decrease of -45%. In the second quarter of 2024, China exported about 52,223 tons of maleic anhydride, a year-on-year increase of +82%.
In the third quarter of 2024, China imported about 212 tons of maleic anhydride, a year-on-year increase of +92%. In the third quarter of 2024, China exported about 50,190 tons of maleic anhydride, a year-on-year increase of +20%.
The monthly average price of China’s exported maleic anhydride remained stable in the first three quarters of 2024. Among them, the highest monthly average price occurred in July, about FOB USD893/MT; the lowest monthly average price occurred in July, about FOB USD844/MT.
As for China’s export MA trading partners (countries or regions) n the first three quarters of 2024: India ranked first with imports of 63,641 tons, accounting for 41.43%; Turkey ranked second with imports of 9,755 tons, accounting for 6.35%; and the UAE ranked third with imports of 9,023 tons, accounting for 5.87%.
