Are the plants shutdown and production restricted during the China’s National Day period?

Recently, a notification letter issued by a company was called to ensure the blue sky and white clouds during the National Day military parade. All production enterprises north of the Yellow River will stop production and reduce emission from September 1. Customers who need to ship the goods should stock up in advance in August.

Coincidentally, a Beijing-based company also issued a notice saying that it has received notice from the relevant department in charge of higher authorities that from August 20 to October 10, all trucks are prohibited from passing through the Sixth Ring Road in Beijing. Martial law will be imposed on August 20, and the core area will be completely shut down on September 1.

Although there are no clear relevant policies at the official level, a number of companies have issued notices that they will soon implement measures such as production suspension for a better ecological environment during the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Nearly two months since the National Day, the chemical industry has begun to spread the words “chemical production limit during the National Day, stocks in time”. During the National Day of previous years, in order to celebrate the China’s National Day, many Chinese chemical companies suspend their production and chemical transportation is restricted. Therefore, many companies frantically stocked between August and September, in order to have enough inventory for production and transactions in the later period of the National Day.

Once the policy is issued, it may lead to a series of chain reactions. After the production is limited or stopped, the users can’t get the goods, and the price will be soaring. Therefore, it is possible to remind the users to arrange according to their actual situation. The ordering of raw materials can also be carried out after the formal documents are issued, or according to their actual conditions.
