Price Increase Announcements for Nov, 2024 from Major Liners

Recently, many shipping lines including Maersk, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, HMM, ZIM and others announced another wave of freight rate adjustment plans for November, involving routes to Europe, the Mediterranean, India and Pakistan, and Africa.

On October 23, Maersk issued an announcement, announcing that from November 1, 2024, a peak season surcharge PSS will be levied on Far East Asian countries to the Middle East, at a rate of US$500 per container. The details are as follows:

Starting from November 4, 2024, Maersk will levy a peak season surcharge PSS from the Far East to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, as follows:

CMA CGM announced that from November 1, 2024 (loading date) until further notice, new FAK rates will apply from Asia to the Mediterranean and North Africa. Details are as follows:

Hapag-Lloyd announced that it will impose a peak season surcharge PSS of USD 1,000/TEU on cargo shipped from Asia to Banjul, Gambia, from November 1, 2024. This surcharge applies to all sailings on and after November 1, 2024 until further notice.
